Tonedeff -Glutton EP

For those that do not know, I've been a fan of Tonedeff and the whole Qn5 Music squad for over ten years. I'm a fan and I know some of my friends have been annoyed by me trying to put them on to them. Some of them enjoyed them and their live performances, while others just heard them whenever I played it. If you're a fan of quality good music then I will forward you to it. Tonedeff started off as a hip hop artist and grown into a full musician. The reason I say that is he makes music of different genres, adopting all of them for his own pleasure.

Yes, he raps, but it's not that he just creates hip hop, especially with his latest project. His newest EP, "GLUTTON", is the newest Tonedeff project in 8 years. His sound is completely different compared to his debut album Archetype. This EP has more dance/electronic tracks with a more adult theme. I tweeted that his song "Filthy" is the XXX version of "Pervert". As much as a fan favorite Pervert is, this should definitely knock the boots off people who listen to this with it's sexually charged lyrics and it's porn vibrating bass beat. "Centerfold" is probably my favorite song, which has inspired me to work more on my more pin up illustrations.

The music has substance and you should listen to it over and over. You can listen to it for free on his bandcamp or you can make a donation this an artist who has put his time to make quality music. This project is 1/4 of his full album entitled "Polymer".  It combines all the EPs that will be released as 1 full album with other goodies. You can purchase that here

If you ever wonder one of the influences to provide you with quality and awesome products, Qn5 music is one of them.

Oh, in case you haven't see Tonedeff with his own Branded Baron tee, here you go.

F-ing Awesome Music video by Jay Wise

What's going on?! I want to share this awesome music video with you all. The homie Jay Wise worked on this song and had a cool music video that compliments his style very well. Here's a little tidbit, the "F-ing Awesome" tees you see were printed by Branded Baron. Due to all the "f bombs" this song isn't suitable for work, so I wouldn't blast it. Enjoy.

Brooklyn Hip Hop Recap - Photos

Hey Everyone! I know I should've posted this a couple weeks ago after the event, but it's better late than never. I'd like to thank all the people that supported the brand. The overall event was cool and Busta Rhymes killed his performance. He brought out Slick Rick, A Tribe Called Quest, Buckshot, and reunited with his Leaders of a New School members to perform during his set. Check out some of the pictures from that day.

Brooklyn Bodega's "Show & Prove" winner Charmingly Ghetto. I saw his performance and he definitely did his thing on his stage.

It made sense that the Brooklyn Nets were there.

The graphic designer who designed the cover of the book she's holding. The booth next to ours contained all these novels and she designed the covers for all.

You can see people on top trying to catch of Busta Rhymes

It's like a Zombie Apocalypse. The cover for the fence came down and people outside of the festival were looking in.

One of my favorite hip hop artists, Tonedeff of Qn5 Music and the latest podcast "Tacos & Chocolate Milk" with PackFM(who's booth was next to mine-I'm a big fan if you didn't know) Both Tonedeff and PackFM were definitely inspiration when I was working on Branded Baron designs and I'm very happy to see Tonedeff now own a Branded Baron tee.  I highly recommend you check out his work as well as everyone on the Qn5 roster.

Busta kept performing even when they cut the miss and the crowd rapped along with him. It was a very cool moment and you have to have a lot of command over the crowd to be able to do so.

Qn5 Megashow '11 Recap

Hey Everyone! Yes, before I post the recap of the Branded Baron Pop Up Shop, I wanted to let you know about the ridiculously awesome hip hop show done by the artists at Qn5 music. If you have never seen or heard of Tonedeff, Cunninlynguists, Substantial, Kokayi, Mr. SoS, and PackFM you're missing out. They make good music and I mean that. Yes, I'm a fan, but they do make some good music and are worth listening to. They all do shows, but only once a year do they have a megashow with the whole roster. What other label puts on a show with all of their artists performing? On top of that, I think they can out perform anyone. Just check out the video to see what you missed out.

Here are some pictures as well.
