Stunningly Fresh Design Process

Hey, everyone! I decided to showcase the design process for the "Stunningly Fresh" design. I've been a big fan of typography and custom type, which is probably a reason I like graffiti, but I that's beside the point. I wanted to share the mantra of Branded Baron with a cool looking custom type. This was originally for the t-shirt, then turned into the longsleeve(only 2 remain). Maybe it'll come back in a different colorway, but if you want it to come back let me know on twitter or the facebook page.

Skateboarding + Branded Baron

Early evening yesterday I went to the skate park in West New York with the crew from Urban Legends Shop. Blis, one of the workers and former pro-boarder, and I have been talking about doing a small photo shoot for awhile and finally we were able to do one. It's good that the skate park is conveniently up the block from the store. I gave out a bunch of stickers to everyone that was there. BOOM, they were slapped on the skateboards. I had my board, but I was really there to get shots of Blis doing tricks wearing Branded Baron. I had him wear some of the new stuff and he threw on the Stunningly Fresh longsleeve, since he always loved that design. Shane Marques took my camera and took the pictures, although I know he would rather have his camera, but he used my camera better than I would have.  I'll add upload video in the next day or two. Music Monday: Broke the Emcee rock's Branded Baron during show

Another Stockton, California emcee that rocks Branded Baron, the first being Okwerdz, is Broke the Emcee. We've been chatting every once in awhile via twitter and he's a cool guy. Matter of fact the one picture of the day with the roller derby girl is his girlfriend, so he put her on to us....wait that just sounds wrong. He let her know about Branded Baron. That sounds a lot better.

Broke usually hits me up telling me that he's rocking the Stunningly Fresh tee, which seems like ALL the time, so it makes me wonder "Does he love it THAT much or is he broke?" Maybe both. lol He definitely supports us and I really appreciate it. I know he's been working on his album and plans on going on tour soon. I love that people from the Fresh Coast love the Stunningly Fresh design. Here is his video from this past Saturday's performance. Enjoy!

Branded Baron is 1 Year Old! Thank you everyone!

It's amazing how fast time flies. It's crazy how all the planning went into it before it finally was launched and now it is 1 year old. I remember all the meetings prepping for the official release, especially with Anthony and now the first year has past. Branded Baron is still a baby and still growing, but it's good to see the progress and see all the supporters out there. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all those who have supported. Seriously, all the people who helped out from buying shirts to blogging to helping me at events it's humbling. I know I missed some, but it doesn't mean I totally forgot about you. Everyone is important and the love shown is amazing. I plan on having this company grow much larger and in more stores. Be on the look out for more exclusive shirts popping up in certain times throughout the year. Thank you everyone for the first year. A lot of lessons were learned from mistakes and as president of this company I'm going to try and make sure the entire operation gets to as close to perfect as possible, because you deserve the best. It was a dream to provide the public with great art, apparel, prints, anything that represented Branded Baron and I'm glad people appreciate it. The journey is only beginning, since we tasted what to expect in this business and I have to make sure that we rise to the top. Spread the word about Branded Baron. We're a brand for the people and I want to provide excellent products for everyone. Not everyone will have the same taste, but being stunningly fresh doesn't mean we have to be the same. As long as the mindset is positive and the shirts we provide are on point, than we can feel good and aim for our goals. If we're surrounded by nothing, but mediocrity than we will get nothing but that. I do not want that and I will personally admit that some designs out there are absolute crap regardless if that's the company's demographic. We always need to be coming up with new and interesting designs and concepts, because life isn't boring so why should the clothes you wear be? There is an old quote "Vestis virum reddit" that translates into "The clothes make the man". We're all unique individuals that can express ourselves with a well thought out and cool design, even if it's simple. I make sure that what is released is something that you can wear, feel confident, stir up some conversation, and/or feel good to let people know this is who you are and what you like. It's a difficult task, but everyone who is behind the scenes at Branded Baron tries to accomplish that.

I look forward to the future of Branded Baron and would love to meet and speak with all those who support.

Okwerdz rockin' "Stunningly Fresh" tee & talks about future plans

Branded Baron FRESH Coast sponsored artist Okwerdz w/ music featuring Mistah Fab, Lush One, & Slug from Atmosphere

"I'm going, going, back, back to Cali Cali" The West Coast or as the hip hop scene over there refers to it "Fresh Coast" is definitely different from the East Coast. It's cool there and I'm not saying it's not cool over here, because I love New York City, they're on two different levels of cool. Cali has definitely shown Branded Baron love and we have nothing but love for the people in California as well. It definitely appropriate to sponsor a rapper from the West Coast. Underground/Indie rapper "Okwerdz" hails from Stockon and is a pretty good rapper that kills it on the battle scene and makes good music. The Source Magazine gave him the "Unsigned Hype" title in March '09 and that's pretty big, since it recognizes very talented rappers. Biggie and Eminem are just two of the many people given that title. He's worked with many people from Kool G Rap, Techn9ne, Chino XL, Mistah Fab, and Slug from Atmosphere just to name a few. He's had mixtapes hosted by Dj Green Lantern and Big Mike and he tours all over the world. Okwerdz has been is a very unique rapper and I would definitely check his music out. He has a new mixtape called "The Offseason", which you can download off iTunes. Okwerdz is a cool down to earth dude that knows how to do his thing. Expect to see him rocking some Branded Baron gear in pictures and videos.

Okwerdz's new mixtape. He has a song called "Shoe Check" that reminds me a little bit of Jay Wise's "Sneakerhead". Do I see these two working on a song in the future?
