Cyber Monday Sale

Awesome that the 600th post on the blog is about this sale. Yes, I know, it's pretty much the same as the one posted on Black Friday, but it's newer and just a friendly reminder. Cyber Monday doesn't have anything to with cyber sex, but that doesn't mean you can't get all sexy with some fresh gear like Branded Baron. If you've been following you know the quality that released time and time again, if you don't, well you'll soon find out when you get your own shirt.

This Cyber Monday will leave you with a holiday happy ending!

Photos from the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Part 1

I still have to give my recap and I apologize for not posting. I've been incredibly busy this past week and I'll be gone this weekend, so it'll be longer than expected but it'll give me time to fully evaluate the time.

Fort Lee Arts & Music Festival Recap

Hey Everyone! I hope everyone is having a great Monday. I wanted to post a quick recap and some photos from the event yesterday. Street fairs are definitely fun times and it's always good to just walk through them, because you never know what you might find. There's usually some good food there, although it's most likely not healthy. There's different kind of vendors and some happen to sell some cool looking t-shirts!

Tiff and I headed out to Fort Lee yesterday and I was hoping that it wouldn't rain. It was suppose to rain or have some sort of storm in the afternoon and the weather gods allowed it to just be cloudy. When we arrived there to set up, I just felt good about the event. I was in a very positive mood and that energy definitely was in the air. The Branded Baron tent was set up near one of the musical stages, which was great, because I was able to watch and listen to the performances while the day moved along. There was a cool female rock band called the Pedal Pushers which had a pretty solid performance. They covered a Lady Gaga song and Katy Perry's "Alien" song. It was fresh to hear something different.

People definitely seemed to have a great response to the tees early on, which always makes me happy. I found it very funny, but cool that this young guy bought the Statue of Liberty tee for their mom. Another cool little story happened to Tiff while I left to get a refill of my lemonade. She said some skaters came by, saw the Branded Baron logo sticker, and finally connected the sticker to the company. He turned over his skate deck and showed Tiff the Branded Baron sticker. The kid said he was going to buy the Astrohop tee at Urban Legends, which is great for supporting a skate shop, but I'm not sure if they have any left. I'm sure he'll find some other stuff from Branded Baron there he'll like at the store.

I did release the new Branded Baron Crown design there and it had a pretty cool response. I know that this family came on by and their one son left walking away rocking that t-shirt. Don't worry, the tees will be up soon, just waiting on one more design.

I did slack on the photos, but I did take some. So take a looksie!

It was great to see my friend John stop by. I've known him since grammar school, which was two decades ago. I really do appreciate it him stopping by and he was rocking the Red Baron tee. Follow him on twitter at twitter.com/jadulanie

Yes, it was definitely funny to see this, but they sang some songs everyone knew.

Recording Session with Jay Wise, Daniel Joseph & MORE

Last night was a good musical evening. Jay Wise was in the studio recording for his next music endeavor, "The Wake Up Call" with artists Daniel Joseph, Reynos, M. Class, Young Tana, and Politiks. Let me say it was packed in a small room and I don't think any of the other rooms at the studio was any larger. It was great to say all these guys just vibe off each other and create something hot. I arrived with Daniel Joseph while they were working on the next club hit. This party song is ridiculously hot. Yes, it's REEEDUNKULOUS. Then the next songs to have verses added were "Grown Up Fresh"(view previous post) and this one serious song. Daniel Joseph wasn't suppose to be on the "Grown up fresh", but he told Jay he had a verse for it and BOOM he's on it now. The video catches some of the recording shenanigans and you get to hear what's there. Chatting it up with everyone was cool and Reynos had some funny stories. He was telling how a guy driving a van "Jesus Loves You" in bold red letter across it wanted to sign him. It turned out to be a priest, but no one knew who he was at first. The way he told it was hysterical. "Who hits a priest? lol Young Tana left early, because he was keeping it stunningly fresh with this girl. He records a party song and then goes parties. That's real. Of course Jay Wise was rocking a Branded Baron tee and Daniel Joseph was wearing the Branded Baron pin. Check it out.

This is the question every weekend, "Where da party at?" The Beat Geeks have released a new song appropriately timed for free download. Yes, while you're getting ready or on the way to a party blast this song. If you enjoy some good dance music check this out. Kokayi's "Robots & Dinosaurs"

Music was something that I've always wanted to affiliate Branded Baron with and you can see that with shirts like our Astrohop and Listen To Your Heart. I always want to strive to be progressive and create designs that are hot, unique, and connect with the wearer in some way. I'm very picky when it comes to my designs and rightfully so. I have high standards. From my second in command, Anthony to whoever is helping me sell at shows to even when the Branded Baron shirts are being printed. We should never subject ourselves to mediocrity. Everyone has different tastes that's a given, but as long as we have high standards then everything is fine.

Since I'm so picky with music as well, especially purchasing music, when I do pick an album it's almost quite a feat. Introduce Kokayi(Pronounced “Ko-Kah-Yee” (or KOKE for short), Qn5 Music's latest grammy nominated artist. His latest album "Robots & Dinosaurs" is a great 14 track album of good music. His backbone would be hip hop, but he shouldn't be labeled a hip hop artist. No, this Washington D.C. native knows how to blend funk, afropunk, hip hop, rock, and soul to create a fresh sound for your ears. He actually can sing unlike many people out there who use autotune or a rapper that think they can harmonize.  The production uses a lot of real instrumentation layered wonderfully, which again is rare in today's music.

You can listen to his entire album here and if you want to buy it, it's only $7: http://qn5music.bandcamp.com/album/robots-dinosaurs
If you want a hard copy or have become such a fan that you want more you can pick up the "Paleo Pack" which has a more than the album go here: http://qn5.com/kokayi/

You'll this is on the bandcamp page:
The official follow-up to 2008’s Mass Instructions, Robots & Dinosaurs is a self-produced tour de force that showcases the Grammy-nominated artist’s varied talents on every track. With lush layers of live instrumentation, soulfully expressive sung-vocals and wordplay galore, Kokayi has managed to create a work that highlights the spaces between the extremes of modern pop, rock & hip hop and subsequently deletes them.

Like anything else, this may be for some people and not others. Just give it a listen and listen again, then decide. I'm going to listen to Kokayi's "Ninety 5" which features Substantial & Tonedeff.

Astrohop printed on female cut shirts?

I've had a various women ask if this comes in a girl shirt and sadly it has not. Usually they would have to purchase a men's small, which is absolutely fine, but those sell out quick so not everyone can get it. There is a demand, but is the demand that strong? Well we are asking YOU all of our female customers and potential customers if you would like to see the Branded Baron Astrohop shirt printed on a female shirt.

The 6/25 Creative Grove recap

I personally like the Creative Grove artist market, so it is no surprise why I'm trying to be there every Friday if I can. This week there were a bunch of different vendors from people selling jewelry, books, plants, shirts, other apparel, and food. I'm a big fan of the food vendors and I was glad I had the Made With Love bakery table next to me. Chocolate chip cookies are great and I'll have a couple glasses of lemonade as well. There were a couple different performances, there was this Dutch duo who were touring and came to stop by to play an acoustic set, there was an Art Theater group performing some skit(I think they were from Art House productions or something similar), a dance group performing interpretative dance, and a dj. The music was good and when the dancers dance it wasn't to boring music. The music definitely set the vibe and made it even more fun to be there. I know some customers saw me dancing while I was speaking to them and putting their shirt in a bag. I will admit the day felt slow, but people still checked out the Branded Baron tent and wanted to buy a shirt. It's always good to see a bunch of people putting their e-mails on the mailing list to be updated on events, new clothes, discounts, etc. If you aren't part of it, sign up.

Shout out to Seven. I wasn't even close to being completely finish with my setup, all I had was my mannequins rocking the shirts, and he bought an Astrohop Red t-shirt.Click here to buy That did help set off the Friday right. I love speaking to people, talking about Branded Baron and having them become interested in the brand. I put a lot into giving the public some great quality shirts with awesome designs. Actually the whole Branded Baron team puts a ton of effort to make sure you have something great being worn.

People enjoying a good time, you can see some live instruments
Another person that will be rocking Branded Baron
That woman looks crazy, but she was in the middle of dancing. She was one of the 6/7 dancers there, besides anyone who felt like shaking their tush.

Figured I'd snap a photo. I was low key without the banner
People playing chess
People still dancing and ejoying the music. That pool kept some of the little kids in the area cool and I think some people's feet chill as well. Overall cool time and if you're free on Friday afternoon/early evening come out.
