Branded Baron Summer photoshoot behind the scenes
Oh yea! New stuff indeed! Here's a little video of what occurred at the photo shoot for this latest release. It has a lot of character with it's randomness and the posing. When I have photo shoots, they need to be fun and I think this one probably had a ton of jokes and funny stories that made the pictures come out great. From the minute we were all in the same car heading to a location to shoot to afterwards where we had some delicious pizza, it was good times. The photos you see in the video and the ones you see for sale are only a couple of a bunch that were taken. This release is more of cool fun side compared to my last Branded Baron release which had a bit of a darker tone. It's summer and we need to have a great time more than ever since the weather is so nice. I'd like to thank Jay Wise and Josh Craig for posing and Mister Lee Digital for consistently killing the photos that he takes. Take a look at the video and spread it around along with the link to where you can buy the new shirts.

Proud Circus presents "One Night Only"
Proud Circus is a collective of artistic individuals from photographers, musicians, designers, etc. and they're having their first event tomorrow. It's going to have music and artwork. Also, it will be sort of an album release for Daniel Joseph's new group He Who Shines Truly. Their album cover is below.
I designed their cover and had the flyer look similar. It is very symbolic to them and each of the balls which are supposed to be similar to chakras represent one of the group members. If I remember correctly it has to do with them being humble artists, which is why there is paint splatter. Take a listen and hopefully I may see you at the event tomorrow night.
Listen here - http://thelightshow.tv/ My favorite track would probably be the second track, "Live at the top."

New Daniel Joseph Music "Heaven
Hello everyone! It's a good day, new Branded Baron has been released and my homie Daniel Joseph releases new music. He collaborated with his buddies JS Krillz(producer) and JahSyah to form He Who Shines Truly. The beat has some nice drums, a good sampled hook, and almost has a house feel to it and the rapping is on point. Daniel Joseph said the song is between a conversation he had with JahSyah and it is explained in the song. I believe there's a 6 song EP coming soon, so check it out if I'm slow to post about it.

Cool Statue of Liberty Photos w/ Daniel Joseph
So I was sent an e-mail with New Jersey rapper Daniel Joseph with photos of him rocking the Statue of Liberty tee. They came out looking good and they were done by Mr. Lee Digital. What can I say? The man does good work with a camera and he'll be in charge of shooting the new Branded Baron line later this afternoon.
If you haven't heard of Daniel Joseph's music check out his last project here: http://danieljoseph.bandcamp.com/album/gone-fishin

Branded Baron Pop Up Shop Recap
Hello everyone! I know it happened almost a week, but I needed some time to think about what happened before I posted it. I've been asked how was it and I respond positively, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. People tell me that it was a success and it had the elements and yet I think I'm just too nervous to say it was. Reason is, this was Branded Baron's first official event and I was very grateful that the owners at Draft Picks lent their store to us. It was great to see both parties working together to get a good event for the public. They got the food and cooked it and I personally got in touch with the performers. Let me tell you I was nervous and stressed. I was probably very stressed during the event even though I had a smile and a good attitude. Putting any event is just difficult and the headaches that occur suck. For anyone who has done it, you know. For anyone who plans on doing it, you'll soon find out even if you cover every scenario it almost goes without saying that you'll experience one SNAFU. I was very happy that the rain went away and it was a beautiful sunny day that Saturday.
In case you did miss the pop up shop, here's what you missed. The whole store had nothing but Branded Baron tees stocked. There was the Draft Picks exclusive Baron Crown tee, which was a black tee with silver metallic ink that matches perfectly with the Metallic 5's. Yes, there were awesome sneakers to buy and match with your Branded Baron tees. In the back, which actually was you had to go around the corner to the back of the building was the BBQ. It was a chill spot, beside the inside, and outside of the store. I was chitchatting everywhere. It was a real cool social gathering of various people from professionals to close friends. Honestly, I felt really humbled by the people who came out. I didn't know what to expect. It's said to expect the worst and hope for the best, well I'm a winner and wanted to keep the positive energy, so I didn't imagine what the worst would have been. Honestly, I really didn't. I was nervous, but that never came across my head.
Also, the performances were cool...Ok, so everyone jammed into the store made it hot, but the performances were on point. Draft Picks gave away some limited edition Jordan Posters and I gave away some Branded Baron tees to some lucky winners. It was fun overall. I think it went well, but I know that certain areas could've been improved. Maybe I won't ever think any of the events were success, but I'll let the people who were there decide. Everyone had fun and people bought Branded Baron tees, so woohoo! One of the owners of Draft Picks, Zeak, told me he wants to throw another event. ::shrugs:: Who knows what will happen? I would love to have a Branded Baron pop up shop in various stores across the nation. I just have to keep building this brand and I appreciate everyone helping out.
Thank you to everyone who came out! Honestly, if it wasn't for you the event wouldn't have gone the way it did. All the performers, photographers, videographers, fans, friends, and supporters I really appreciate you coming out! Thank you. I look forward to having another event in the future.
Stay no less than Stunningly Fresh,
Joe
Below are some more pictures from the event. I'm going to show the performances in a separate blog post.

Draft Picks put up their new sign that day and on the outside the Branded Baron banner was shown. Much love for the love that was shown from Draft Picks. Thank you.
Getting the money out for their new Branded Baron tees!
Shout out to Gee aka Lil Bomb from LilLoveDriven apparel. He came out showed love and we talked for a good amount of time.
Chi rockin the original "Don't Be A Hypebeast" t-shirt. Honestly, I think Draft Picks might have a couple left. They might.
Tiff practicing to shoot like a basketball player, since Draft Picks has a shooter in their logo.
I honestly don't know how they saw any performances, because whoever was sitting their view was obstructed.
Thank you!

Let's Talk: Allen E Z Interview
I decided that I want to interview a bunch of artists, so the public can get to know them better. I decided to begin these series with Allen E Z aka Allen E. It was a fun video, since he was crackin jokes, but it was also difficult. Some of you may remember him when I posted about his duo's (the Gem-N-I) mixtape a year ago, but now he has his own solo project called "The Tour Fly". We touch on that and plenty of other topics.
You can download his mixtape here.
Don't worry these will get better, since now I have one under my belt and know what works and doesn't. There were a bunch of footage that I wanted, but couldn't include. Anyway enjoy. Also, due to the language this footage is NSFW.
Thanks again for Allen EZ and hopefully he gains some new fans.

J. Craig - BAMBU (My crew) Music Video
J. Craig - BAMBU (My Crew) from Joe Zevallos on Vimeo.
New Jersey emcee J. Craig released his new music video for the song "BAMBU (My Crew)" produced by Mello Mel. If you look closely you'll see a Branded Baron tee. The video he wanted was to look real raw with the old school Wu-tang feel. If you like what you hear visit his site here and follow him on twitter.

Rasheed Chappell "What I'm Here 4" feat. DJ Scratch
I first saw Rasheed Chappell perform about a year ago at a Black Flag event, actually I believe it was for the Haiti Help fundraiser, and I thought he had skills. I personally like his sound and it brings back the grittiness of Hip Hop that is needed again. I know he's not wearing a Branded Baron tee, but shout out to him for rocking the Marvin the Martian t-shirt. How many people really like Marvin the Martian?
Rasheed Chappell's debut album "Future Before Nostalgia" is slated to drop soon, produced entirely by Kenny Dope has already tagged as one of the most anticipated releases of 2011 by blogs, radio & Hip Hop fans. You know I wouldn't post this video if I didn't think it wasn't quality. Check it out. Follow Rasheed on twitter at twitter.com/rasheedchappell

Recording Session with Jay Wise, Daniel Joseph & MORE
Last night was a good musical evening. Jay Wise was in the studio recording for his next music endeavor, "The Wake Up Call" with artists Daniel Joseph, Reynos, M. Class, Young Tana, and Politiks. Let me say it was packed in a small room and I don't think any of the other rooms at the studio was any larger. It was great to say all these guys just vibe off each other and create something hot. I arrived with Daniel Joseph while they were working on the next club hit. This party song is ridiculously hot. Yes, it's REEEDUNKULOUS. Then the next songs to have verses added were "Grown Up Fresh"(view previous post) and this one serious song. Daniel Joseph wasn't suppose to be on the "Grown up fresh", but he told Jay he had a verse for it and BOOM he's on it now. The video catches some of the recording shenanigans and you get to hear what's there. Chatting it up with everyone was cool and Reynos had some funny stories. He was telling how a guy driving a van "Jesus Loves You" in bold red letter across it wanted to sign him. It turned out to be a priest, but no one knew who he was at first. The way he told it was hysterical. "Who hits a priest? lol Young Tana left early, because he was keeping it stunningly fresh with this girl. He records a party song and then goes parties. That's real. Of course Jay Wise was rocking a Branded Baron tee and Daniel Joseph was wearing the Branded Baron pin. Check it out.
