Hope your holiday was great!
Hellooooo all! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah. I had to say it was a great one and I really enjoyed my Christmas weekend. I saw some friends from grammar school that I haven't seen in years on Friday. Celebrated a nice Christmas eve with my girlfriend's family, followed by a great family Christmas. Plus, I enjoyed the Monday off. I was honestly not a computer for the past couple of days and it felt good. I even used my crackberry just for phone calls. This holiday break, I was away and enjoyed the festive and magical aura. I definitely hope you had a great weekend. New Year's is coming up and it's time to continuing focus on all goals for the future.

Merry Christmas, You Filthy Animal
Home Alone & Home Alone 2 are classic movies and I always enjoyed the "Tommy Gun" scene. They were just funny scenes where the pizza boy, the Wet Bandits, and the hotel staff got pranked. I think I'm going to say "Merry Christmas, You Filthy Animal" to everyone now. lol Enjoy the clips.

Proud Circus presents "One Night Only"
Proud Circus is a collective of artistic individuals from photographers, musicians, designers, etc. and they're having their first event tomorrow. It's going to have music and artwork. Also, it will be sort of an album release for Daniel Joseph's new group He Who Shines Truly. Their album cover is below.
I designed their cover and had the flyer look similar. It is very symbolic to them and each of the balls which are supposed to be similar to chakras represent one of the group members. If I remember correctly it has to do with them being humble artists, which is why there is paint splatter. Take a listen and hopefully I may see you at the event tomorrow night.
Listen here - http://thelightshow.tv/ My favorite track would probably be the second track, "Live at the top."

Throwback Thursday- Animaniac's Wakko's Christmas Burp song
Animaniacs was a funny cartoon show back in the '90s and the best segments were probably Wakko's burp songs. It was childish, but funny. I remember watching this Christmas one at my grandmother's Christmas eve when I was younger and it was humorous then as it is now. Here's my holiday Throwback Thursday for you.

PackFM "Want what's mine" Music Video
Qn5 Music's PackFM released his latest music video for his new song "Want what's mine." I'll admit the video is nothing groundbreaking and it's okay, but I really like the song. Since the latest designs were not designed by anyone else, this was one of the songs that I had playing in the background giving me inspiration while I was working. The title alone had me thinking this works and what I wanted to convey with the theme for "Royal Rebellion." I want to earn my spot as a designer. I want to earn this company as a great clothing company. It is necessary to bring everything quality to anyone who rocks Branded Baron. My mind was focused on taking and earning what I want. I know hard work comes in the territory and I'm busting my ass to make sure I get this out there and this song helped me focus on that. The song is a good song and if it wasn't, it would not have provided me with any inspiration. This is a song that connected to me on my goals, so I like to thank PackFM for this. He's a genuine good dude who I've met, seen plenty of times, and who I had come perform at my college some years back and I'll always be a fan of his. Art and music, one in the same really, connects people on some level and it's something that can only be appreciated. So, before I continue my rambling, watch the video and if you like it like I do, then go and download it from Qn5's site here DOWNLOAD MP3

New Poster for "The Dark Knight Rises"
I don't know how many of you are excited for this, but I am excited. I can't wait for the movie to come out. The little teaser trailer was cool, but I want to see more of the movie. They're definitely building up the anticipation for this movie. Bane is going to be a badass and I'm curious to see if one of my friends made the final cut in the movie. All I'm going to say is that Bane disrupts a sports game. Which one? I know which one, but let's just say there are two ways to play it depending on the person you speak to.
I believe Tom Hardy is going to be a badass in this movie, because in Bronson and the mma movie Warrior, he was a beast. I recommend checking those movies out, because they were good flicks. Well, Bronson was a bit slow, but it's watchable. That's one thing I like about Batman movies, the new villains. He probably has one of the best collective of bad guys to go up against and if you read the comics you know that is true. Well, I figured I'd share this poster with you for all that don't know.

Photo Shoot - Behind the Scenes
Hello, Everyone! I know I should have posted this earlier, BUT better late than never. Here's a glimpse of some of the action that went down during the photo shoot. You can see that we had fun, because even though this is work doesn't mean it's not and can't be fun. I want to thank Nick of the band Mother and Nic Nap for lending their bodies for the shirts as well as Mr. Lee Digital for his photography talents. The song used in this video was a source of inspiration for the designs, but I'll explain that later in another video/post. Enjoy this Branded Baron video and if you want to see more subscribe to the Branded Baron youtube page.

Throwback Thursday: "Fugees- Fu-Gee-La"
Here's a throwback for ya. I remember listening to this song and it's the one that got me to become a fan of the Fugees. I remember my aunt had two copies of their album "The Score" and she gave me one. I still have the cd along with a ton of other cds, which are taking up space since it's an old form of music now, but that's a discussion for another day. Enjoy this song and let it bring you back.

Unnecessary Censorship - Bad Sesame Street
Hello all! I came across this Jimmy Kimmel video where his show made a montage of unnecessary censorship on Sesame Street clips. It's pretty funny and it ends strong. Besides what else are you going to do on the day before Thanksgiving? Work? Uh huh, maybe, but here's something to take your mind off things for a bit.

Branded Baron at Private Stock
The other day I was at Private Stock in Yonkers and I shot some video of what's in the store. This is a sneaker and clothing boutique that has some pretty hot stuff in it. I stepped in and saw Rod one of the co-owners of the shop and was displaying some of the new Branded Baron apparel that they have. If you're in the area and you're a sneaker head, check them out. If you like fresh gear, check them out. They're cool people. The video is more of a teaser of the store, but you'll get an idea of it.

Yeah New York 2011 Video
Sneakercon NYC Soho from YeahNewYork on Vimeo.
So, I was cleaning my desk and came across a Yeah New York business card and remembered they interviewed me back at Sneaker Con in March. I decided to go their site and search for the video and here it is. You can see Branded Baron shirts in it and I make a very brief appearance at the end of the video. It was cool and definitely check out their site at http://yeahnewyork.com/

XV - U.F.C. Music Video
Now I learned about hip hop artist XV for awhile, but mostly through Jay Wise. He has some good songs and I've become a fan. This particular song which he recorded a music video is one of my favorite songs off his recent mixtape "Zero Heroes". The video is okay, but I think the song is fun and has a hard beat. Enjoy this Music Monday song.

New Daniel Joseph Music "Heaven
Hello everyone! It's a good day, new Branded Baron has been released and my homie Daniel Joseph releases new music. He collaborated with his buddies JS Krillz(producer) and JahSyah to form He Who Shines Truly. The beat has some nice drums, a good sampled hook, and almost has a house feel to it and the rapping is on point. Daniel Joseph said the song is between a conversation he had with JahSyah and it is explained in the song. I believe there's a 6 song EP coming soon, so check it out if I'm slow to post about it.

This is one of my favorite Big Pun tracks. The beat is hard and Big Pun and Cuban Link are beastin on it. It's my Throwback Thursday song. I feel this song has the vibe of the Royal Rebellion line.
Listen and enjoy.

Boston W/ Gag Order & Cavata
I don't know why I didn't post this earlier, but it's up now. When I was up in Boston I met up with Lori of Cavata Clothing and Jehue from the funny online radio show Gag Order. We chatted up on various topics and joked around. We could've met up anywhere, but I had gone with Tiff to the SOWA Market and parked at this parking lot that was full and the time we started talking, we were the only people there. It was great to see Jehue supporting Branded Baron by rocking the Red Baron tee. Now Lori and Jehue are good people, which is why I'm posting this. Lori's clothing line promotes art and music and a portion of her sales goes back into the arts program for Boston schools. So yes, it's one of those weird times where I support another rival company, but it's friendly rivalry. We help each other when we can and that's possible with the internet. So, check out http://www.cavataclothing.com There's some items you may like.
Jehue is quite a character and talks a lot, but that's good when you run your own radio show. He somehow knows everyone and he shared a story when he was an upcoming singer and producer who was going to be mentored by Kanye until Mr. West was in diva mode and kicked him out of the studio. All he wanted was to learn and grow, well luckily that was the past and he's focused on Gag Order. I happened to hook up his radio show with the logo and it is mighty fine if I say so myself. lol Gag Order is a humor based show and worth the listen. It airs every Wednesday and you can check it out at http://gagorder.me/ I believe there is even an app for anyone who has a Droid phone. Oh and Gag Order features some good guests.
Here's a video of Jay with us from that day.

Mother's single "As You Run"
The rock band Mother released their single "As You Run" earlier today and as a supporter I recommend you check it out. They're big Branded Baron supporters and I've been cool with them for a long time. 2 of the 4 were originally from the band Zodiac, which I promoted in the early days of Branded Baron and now they moved on with another 2 bandmates to create some good hard rock. You can catch them performing regularly in Philly and NYC, but they will be traveling more often to other states. You can check them out on their facebook http://www.facebook.com/motherband.

Cool Statue of Liberty Photos w/ Daniel Joseph
So I was sent an e-mail with New Jersey rapper Daniel Joseph with photos of him rocking the Statue of Liberty tee. They came out looking good and they were done by Mr. Lee Digital. What can I say? The man does good work with a camera and he'll be in charge of shooting the new Branded Baron line later this afternoon.

FKN-Famous Reviews Branded Baron
Website FKN-Famous who has featured Branded Baron on their site in the past, has posted a review of one of our shirts. Now if you wondering what will be in the package in your order or what other people think about the quality of Branded Baron here is a great example for you. I was very happy to read that the review was a positive one. I know the hard work that was done to ensure there is a quality package and it's good to see that it has paid off with a good review.

Maniac - Short Film
Hmm, I figured this was an interesting short film by Shia Lebouf that stars Kid Cudi and underground rapper Cage. The plot is a film crew follow these two and capture them kill 16 people. It's heavily influenced on the film "Man Bites Dog", which is very similar. I think it's okay, but thought it was worth sharing. I know Kid Cudi and Cage worked together on Cudi's last album and Shia will be portraying Cage in a biopic film, so that is the connection between them. I enjoy watching short films and I should watch some more, but here's one that you may finding intriguing. Feel free to share your thoughts on our Facebook or Twitter.

Exclusive Sweatshirts at Draft Picks
If you haven't seen the Facebook page you would have seen that Draft Picks has 2 exclusive sweatshirts at their store. Neither one is from the upcoming release entitled the Royal Rebellion Collection. It's not the first time there were exclusive colorways of Branded Baron designs. Yes, unfortunately if you do like what is there, but nowhere near the store you may not have the chance to own it. That's okay, because not every store that holds Branded Baron have or had our entire collection. I personally like to make sure some items are exclusive to everyone online. I want to make sure there are exclusives for everyone. The sweatshirts that Draft Picks has in stock are the Jersey Devil gray pullover hoodie and the "My Cool Club Is Cooler Than Yours" crewneck sweatshirt. If you like you can head over to them and buy one. I am quite excited for the new stuff, so keep an eye out for that.

Tana feat. Baiyu "Live in the past"
Here's a song for you all to listen and download by Tana. The beat has a chill, soul, reminisce feel to it and maybe that's why the song is called "Live in the past." The chorus is done by Baiyu and she definitely holds it down when Tana finishes doing his thing. I say listen to it, because you may just vibe to this. I'm not sure when Tana's project is going to be released, but I'm sure I'll let you know, but follow him on twitter at http://twitter.com/#!/followmetana

Comic Con in NYC 2011
Comic Con was back in New York and here are some pictures of who dressed up and what was there. I had a good time with Tiff. I rocked my "The Force Graff" tee one of the days. Yes, I had a 3 day weekend pass. What can I say Comic Con is fun, especially if you like video games, comics, movies, and art. One thing I found odd was that there were a couple clothing brands there this year. It was held in the Cult Courtyard and I saw brands such as Mishka and Kid Robot. I ran into Paulie Hussle from Real Deal Radio and he thought there was a Branded Baron booth, but no. Maybe next year, but I really like going to that as a fan and do not want to be focused on business when this is something I go to have fun and relax my mind. Who knows?
Shout out to David from Seibei, Bryan aka Doctor Hazmat, and the big dog Johnny Cupcakes himself. I definitely had a good chat with each of these individuals and they're cool people w/ cool brands. They get the stunningly fresh co-sign.
There were celebrities that were there like always and some were roaming around. Tiff and I were chillin in the same booth that Seth Green was in and he bought a lot of stuff from Comic Con. He was definitely seemed like he did not want attention. He did treat people who came up to them with respect, so he's not a celebrity douchebag which is great. He did have a good looking girl with him and he wasn't as short as I thought he was, but still not a tall guy. I really wanted to give him one of my Branded Baron tees, specifically the Force Graff tee, but I figured if I ran him into again and we conversed and he was interested I'd do so. There are certain boundaries that need to be respected, especially when they're chillin. 30 Rock's Judah Friedlander was roaming around snapping photos with fans. He didn't shock me, maybe because I've seen him perform his stand up comedy routine in New York before. It's funny the first time I saw him perform the only thing I can think of was him talking about masturbation jokes. There were other celebrities that I missed, but whatever. I'm trying to figure out why Chad Michael Murray was there. I only know him from One Tree Hill and that terrible horror movie he did with Paris Hilton. Whatever, he seemed to enjoy taking photos with all the women that came up to him.
I had to get some art from some artists that were there, because I enjoy good art. One thing that I will share is if I do get a comic book, I love good drawn art. I hate bad art in comics and I do not care how good a story is if the artwork sucks it is a waste of money to me. That's how I feel about that. Anyway, here are some photos that I took.

Bryan of Doctor Hazmat
I first met Buddy Scalera back in college when he lectured my web design class and I found out he was a photographer that helped comic book artists with great reference photos. I saw him at Comic Con picked up his latest book and he signed it and hooked me up with a Comic he wrote. He's a good guy and very passionate about comics and if you're interested in drawing comics or just starting on an awesome composition pick up his book People and Poses book which is available at Barnes & Noble. I bought the Colossal Collection of Action Poses.
I saw Erik Jones last year and bought his Medusa print. I picked up another great print this year, which is entitled "Blossom". I really like the stuff he makes. You can view his work here: http://theirison.com/
Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Look here appeared!

Awesome idea. I'll see you next summer Tom Hardy. lol
