Tonedeff -Glutton EP

For those that do not know, I've been a fan of Tonedeff and the whole Qn5 Music squad for over ten years. I'm a fan and I know some of my friends have been annoyed by me trying to put them on to them. Some of them enjoyed them and their live performances, while others just heard them whenever I played it. If you're a fan of quality good music then I will forward you to it. Tonedeff started off as a hip hop artist and grown into a full musician. The reason I say that is he makes music of different genres, adopting all of them for his own pleasure.

Yes, he raps, but it's not that he just creates hip hop, especially with his latest project. His newest EP, "GLUTTON", is the newest Tonedeff project in 8 years. His sound is completely different compared to his debut album Archetype. This EP has more dance/electronic tracks with a more adult theme. I tweeted that his song "Filthy" is the XXX version of "Pervert". As much as a fan favorite Pervert is, this should definitely knock the boots off people who listen to this with it's sexually charged lyrics and it's porn vibrating bass beat. "Centerfold" is probably my favorite song, which has inspired me to work more on my more pin up illustrations.

The music has substance and you should listen to it over and over. You can listen to it for free on his bandcamp or you can make a donation this an artist who has put his time to make quality music. This project is 1/4 of his full album entitled "Polymer".  It combines all the EPs that will be released as 1 full album with other goodies. You can purchase that here.

If you ever wonder one of the influences to provide you with quality and awesome products, Qn5 music is one of them.

Oh, in case you haven't see Tonedeff with his own Branded Baron tee, here you go.

8th Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Saturday!

This Saturday is the 8th Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival with the Busta Rhymes headlining, whom I'm excited to see him perform. The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival is always fun and I'm excited to have a booth there again. This will be the 3rd time Branded Baron will be selling there and enjoying the atmosphere. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing some familiar faces. If you do attend stop by and say "hello". I will be bringing back the Statue of Liberty tank tops, so maybe you might want to pick one up if you did not get a chance last year.

PackFM "Want what's mine" Music Video

Qn5 Music's PackFM released his latest music video for his new song "Want what's mine." I'll admit the video is nothing groundbreaking and it's okay, but I really like the song. Since the latest designs were not designed by anyone else, this was one of the songs that I had playing in the background giving me inspiration while I was working. The title alone had me thinking this works and what I wanted to convey with the theme for "Royal Rebellion." I want to earn my spot as a designer. I want to earn this company as a great clothing company. It is necessary to bring everything quality to anyone who rocks Branded Baron. My mind was focused on taking and earning what I want. I know hard work comes in the territory and I'm busting my ass to make sure I get this out there and this song helped me focus on that. The song is a good song and if it wasn't, it would not have provided me with any inspiration. This is a song that connected to me on my goals, so I like to thank PackFM for this. He's a genuine good dude who I've met, seen plenty of times, and who I had come perform at my college some years back and I'll always be a fan of his. Art and music, one in the same really, connects people on some level and it's something that can only be appreciated. So, before I continue my rambling, watch the video and if you like it like I do, then go and download it from Qn5's site here DOWNLOAD MP3

Qn5 Megashow '11 Recap

Hey Everyone! Yes, before I post the recap of the Branded Baron Pop Up Shop, I wanted to let you know about the ridiculously awesome hip hop show done by the artists at Qn5 music. If you have never seen or heard of Tonedeff, Cunninlynguists, Substantial, Kokayi, Mr. SoS, and PackFM you're missing out. They make good music and I mean that. Yes, I'm a fan, but they do make some good music and are worth listening to. They all do shows, but only once a year do they have a megashow with the whole roster. What other label puts on a show with all of their artists performing? On top of that, I think they can out perform anyone. Just check out the video to see what you missed out.

Here are some pictures as well.

Hey, I will be on the Real Deal Radio show tomorrow along with Jay Wise. Be sure to look at the livestream channel tomorrow. Crusafix of Real Deal bought a shirt and is now a fan of Branded Baron, thought it would be good if I came through to chat for a bit.
