Tribeca Urban Arts & Music Showcase

The past Saturday was the Tribeca Urban Arts & Music Showcase hosted by X101Jamz and Gallery 69 and it was a good event. I went there with my friends Frankie and Anderson of Bluu Dreams . Most of the artwork were created over New York City subway maps, skate decks, and canvases. There were plenty of great pieces and observing each was definitely a treat. Watching the bboy battle, which no one won for whatever reason, was fun to watch. The performances were.....there. I think they definitely  were necessary to have and it's not like all of them were bad, but they weren't amazing either. I was focused on the art and I enjoyed what all the artists provided. I was thrilled to be a sponsor for this event and I'm thankful Elevated Scott asked me to be part of this. Below are some photos from the event.

On the way to get some chinese food we stumble and see this guy wearing a cone growling. Of course we were wise enough to walk across the street, but still it was pretty hilarious to see.

Tribeca Urban Arts & Music Showcase Saturday 12/15

This Saturday is the Tribeca Urban Arts & Music Showcase, which is sure to be a good event. I'm excited to attend, plus it doesn't hurt that you can win some Branded Baron shirts as well as other great prizes too. A graffiti art show is fresh, dope, insert your own adjective. You can tell from looking at the designs that are and have been up for sale that hip hop has played an influence on Branded Baron, so it's no wonder that I decided to partake in this event. Hosted by Elevated Scott and X101Jamz, I hope you can attend. RSVP to the e-mail above. It should be really fun.

Mr. Mustart had an exhibit over at Kanek Skate Shop in Newark and for those that didn't get to see here's a video by Serringe, owner of the Element Tree. When art looks good, it's best to be shared. Enjoy the video.

Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival 2011 Recap Video

Hello everyone! I know I've been slacking on the blog and I apologize. Finally here is a video recap of what you missed. It is only a sample of some of the performances and what went down. It was a hot day, but it was great day. Tons of performers, a lot of vendors(too many if you ask me and some that I didn't think should've been there, but whatever), graff artists, and all around good hip hop vibe. Here are some extra videos with Kanye West and Busta Rhymes on stage with Q-tip. Let me tell you everyone went nuts and it was hard for me to get a picture or video the performance. The performances overall were on point, because I became new fans for some artists. Since I knew Q-tip was headlining, I definitely hoped he brought out Busta for "Scenario" and he did and I was happy. Q-tip even brought out Monie Love. Honestly the whole day was crazy. I'm mad I wasn't able to catch everyone, because I was selling Branded Baron tees and tanks, but hey it's okay.

Photos from the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival Part 1

I still have to give my recap and I apologize for not posting. I've been incredibly busy this past week and I'll be gone this weekend, so it'll be longer than expected but it'll give me time to fully evaluate the time.
