Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This is a fun holiday. Anthony and I partied down at this lounge in Hoboken, Tweak, at the beginning of Halloween. So if you continue to party later be safe. Be safe when trick or treating and eating all those fantastic candies, because no one needs to be sick from eating too much sweets. Maybe I'll show some magic tricks to the local kids, before I give them some candy, because it's fun and they liked when I show them.

What are you dressed up for Halloween? Let us know on the facebook page.

Use either discount code "trick" or "treat" when purchasing a Branded Baron item. One is 10% off and one is 15% off the entire order. Which one would it be? It's still a little gift. It lasts only today.

Recording Session with Jay Wise, Daniel Joseph & MORE

Last night was a good musical evening. Jay Wise was in the studio recording for his next music endeavor, "The Wake Up Call" with artists Daniel Joseph, Reynos, M. Class, Young Tana, and Politiks. Let me say it was packed in a small room and I don't think any of the other rooms at the studio was any larger. It was great to say all these guys just vibe off each other and create something hot. I arrived with Daniel Joseph while they were working on the next club hit. This party song is ridiculously hot. Yes, it's REEEDUNKULOUS. Then the next songs to have verses added were "Grown Up Fresh"(view previous post) and this one serious song. Daniel Joseph wasn't suppose to be on the "Grown up fresh", but he told Jay he had a verse for it and BOOM he's on it now. The video catches some of the recording shenanigans and you get to hear what's there. Chatting it up with everyone was cool and Reynos had some funny stories. He was telling how a guy driving a van "Jesus Loves You" in bold red letter across it wanted to sign him. It turned out to be a priest, but no one knew who he was at first. The way he told it was hysterical. "Who hits a priest? lol Young Tana left early, because he was keeping it stunningly fresh with this girl. He records a party song and then goes parties. That's real. Of course Jay Wise was rocking a Branded Baron tee and Daniel Joseph was wearing the Branded Baron pin. Check it out.

Raw Radio Preview Video

IF you didn't know, now you will. Branded Baron sponsors the online radio podcast "Raw Radio Online", which is more of a guy talk/howard stern-ish type of talk show w/ humorous banter. This video is a preview of what's to come and it doesn't show the greatness of the episode, it's a mere taste.

I suggest you listen to the first 3 episodes of this new season of their podcast, so you're tune with everyone. I will admit that the first two episodes are the funniest, so give that a listen to. Check it out here: http://www.rawradioonline.com/category/episodes/season-2/ Or you can go to iTunes and subscribe to their podcast for free. Type "Raw Radio Online" when searching.

The new episode with me as a guest will premiere on Wednesday 10pm. So tune in then, you'll like it.

Here is Mike Kirshenbaum rocking the Carpe Diem sweatshirt. He loved it and the rest of the cast loved the Branded Baron goodies I came by with.

Photo of the Day: Rocking the "Don't be a hypbeast" tee

My friend Jamal went to the New York Dunk Xchange today and he saw someone who purchased the "Don't be a hypebeast" tee from Sneaker Con. It's always great to see someone wearing a shirt, especially one of the newer ones. There are still very very few left for guys and girls. Once these are gone they will not be printed again.

Yaybies! Breast Cancer Awareness month

It is never too late to do the right thing, so being that Breast Cancer Awareness month is near the end does not mean we cannot donate for a good cause. 15% from all women shirt sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Fight the Cure foundation. New Pegasus shirts were printed on heather gray as well as the classic black shirts for this special occasion. The Pegasus shirt sales will continue to be donated even after the Breast Cancer Awareness month is over.

I know we should have done this at the beginning of the month, but it's never too late to do the right thing. You never know who is going to get hit with breast cancer and when. It's important that we try our best to help in anyway for any good cause and this is definitely one of them. Read up on the Susan G. Komen Fight the Cure foundation click here.

Here is the video, I don't know why the top of my head is cut off. On the camera it was fine.

Sneaker Con Recap

I must say that Sneaker Con turned out a lot better than I thought. I had a lot of fun, it was great talking to so many people and selling shirts. What started as a nightmare turned into a great success.

I timed everything accordingly, so I could arrive at Sneaker Con and be able to set up without rushing. I somehow didn't realize it was on the west side and not the east side of lower Manhattan, plus it seemed like I took the longest way to get there. Plus, time was catching up to me and I remember reading the vendor's agreement saying that you have to be there by before 11:30 otherwise you won't be able to sell. Luckily I found a parking spot in time and headed to sign in. One thing I know is I never have to know the address, because I'll always see a line of people waiting for the event to start.

Setting up indoors was easy, so it was fine by me. I wasn't assigned a table with a wall in the background, so no Branded Baron banner was hung. Once I put out all the shirts and the promo cards, I waited for all the people to come in. I noticed that there were quite more clothing companies than usual at this sneaker event. I wanted to check out all the tables, but I had to wait for my boy Chi, who helps me from time to time, arrive from getting some Jordans that he wanted to sell. There were a ton of cool tables and people too.

Once the doors opened, the chaos came on through. It was packed, then briefly the crowd would be a little smaller, and then you'll get slapped in the face with more people. Sneaker Con definitely had a really good turn out. People loved the apparel that we had for sale, especially the "Don't Be A Hypebeast" t-shirt. All the sneakerheads really loved that one and I have to thank Chi for helping me when I was working on that design. Seriously, someone walked up to Chi when he was walking around and told him, "That's the best shirt in this place." Now that's an awesome compliment and makes me feel good that Branded Baron is doing something right. I really didn't expect to do really well, since it was a sneaker event, but you need something to match your kicks, right?

Overall, it was a fun experience and I can't wait to participate in the next Sneaker Con. Shout out to all the people at Sneaker Con that put it together, Adidas for sponsoring, and all the cool people I met or met up with again that day from Daniel Cruz, Bryan from Doctor Hazmat, Mello from Kick Game Dvd, Jen from Mix 206, Gerardo and company from Creative Ethics, and everyone who stopped by bought and chopped it up. Thanks Chi for the help. If you didn't pick up a "Don't be a hypebeast t-shirt"there will be some available in the online store soon. I like to have limited edition shirts, especially for events, so you have to grab them in your size when you can.

Check out the rest of the pictures below from the event.

Music Monday: Broke the Emcee rock's Branded Baron during show

Another Stockton, California emcee that rocks Branded Baron, the first being Okwerdz, is Broke the Emcee. We've been chatting every once in awhile via twitter and he's a cool guy. Matter of fact the one picture of the day with the roller derby girl is his girlfriend, so he put her on to us....wait that just sounds wrong. He let her know about Branded Baron. That sounds a lot better.

Broke usually hits me up telling me that he's rocking the Stunningly Fresh tee, which seems like ALL the time, so it makes me wonder "Does he love it THAT much or is he broke?" Maybe both. lol He definitely supports us and I really appreciate it. I know he's been working on his album and plans on going on tour soon. I love that people from the Fresh Coast love the Stunningly Fresh design. Here is his video from this past Saturday's performance. Enjoy!

New York City Comic Con Recap

Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane.....Wait, why are you looking up in the sky? You can stare at it after reading this new blog post. lol I hope everyone is doing well. Today I went to the New York Comic Con. I wasn't going to post anything about today, but a twitter follower told me to take pictures of the best and worst costumes and I figured I'd share it with you. I know what you're thinking, the founder of Branded Baron who wants everyone to be stunningly fresh is a closet geek? Eh, sort of. My comic book knowledge has faded a bit, since I haven't really caught up on it due to other tasks(making sure Branded Baron becomes a success). Plus, comic books did help influence me to create my own illustrations and own designs. Every kid wanted to be a superhero at one point in their life. Last, Branded Baron is for everyone whether you're the coolest person on the planet or a geek of some sort. Being stunningly fresh is the attitude of confidence and is labeled to no group in particular, but owning anything Branded Baron shows you're stunningly fresh.

First, Comic Con is fun, but paaaaacked as hell. Every year it seems as it gets larger and larger. There's so much from seeing exclusive video games to new movies being promoted to anything comic book related. You'll see celebrities like singer Neyo(weird, I know), you'll see comic book greats, you'll see families, you'll see costumed fans, and more. If you wanted to see what was tweeted you can go to Branded Baron twitter profile and follow if you aren't already at twitter.com/brandedbaron Here are pictures with a little excerpt. I apologize for some blurry pictures. I like to be on the move and I hate being in the way of people who are trying to get through a busy place, because I hate it when it's done to me. I try to be quick with anything touristy.

Am I the real Spider-Man?

They were promoting the Alien movie series that comes out in Blu-Ray. You could watch the trailer in one of the spaceship beds to see it and hear the sound even better.

Stopped by the Seibei(pronounced "say-bay") booth to say hello to Dave. Cool guy and check out his site, there may be something you like.
Seriously, why was Neyo there? (Gray hat for those that don't know) I believe he was promoting his album.

The Michael Jackson video game booth. People were playing the demo which had the classic song "Beat it". It proves people like MJ and I'm not talking about Peter Parker's lover. See what I did there? A comic book joke. I know. I know. I thought it was a good one too.

Tiff getting ready to play Final Fantasy 14 demo.

She's creating her Final Fantasy 14 character

Just chillin outside rocking the classic Branded Baron Gamer t-shirt. Shall we bring it back for sale?

Comics!

Cyanide & Happiness-You know you like reading these funny comic strips.

You could've own your personal Cyanide & Happiness sketch

Good ol' MTV news was there interviewing Eric Bana.
Side view of actor Eric Bana

Some new computer fantasy video game

This was a cool demo that Intel had. Play while in a race car.

This artist was chalking up some Yu Gi Oh art on the ground. This was hot.

Cool sculptures

Tiff didn't end up getting this Stitch(from Lilo & Stitch) hat, but she got one similar.

Not in this picture, but I've been compared to actor Chris Evans(playing Captain America and played Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four) and decided to take a picture with the shield. Captain America for the win.

Lou Ferrigno the original Hulk

Brandon Dicamillo of CKY & Jackass. He posed, but I moved and made the picture blurry. He went back to signing and I didn't want to bother him to ask for another pose. He probably would've been cool with it.

Animal Planet booth, they had someone dressed in a Yeti costume walk around.

Cool look statue

Real cool looking poster print I bought from Erik Jones. He has some cool artwork. A heads up before you check out his site, some of it is NSFW(not suitable for work) http://www.theirison.com/

Where's Waldo? lol'

Now time for the costumes:
It's creepy, because that's a guy.

Batman with villains

Someone seems to always dress up as Chewbacca. Dude must have been sweating like a beast.

Fellas, might think she gets the automatic win for best costume. lol

Yes, there are females at this convention that aren't brought by their boyfriends.

Add spidey into the mix and there's a fun date.

Magneto

I thought this was cool. I didn't realize it was a terrible picture. Grr. Smart move if you're in a wheel chair to go as Professor X.

As long as it wasn't a storm trooper

Fairies

Outside

Snake Eyes and ...

Ares god of war

Strike a pose

He has a rubber chicken! Scary!

Not the greatest Chun Li

Better Chun Li, but blurry. I saw another woman dressed as Chun Li. I want to see someone dressed as Chun Li rocking the Chun Lis

Cable

Old school Captain America

There were a bunch of Super Marios and Luigis, but this one had a Yoshi

Kill Bill live

KICK ASS

The Winner of the worst costume that I saw and from the ones in these pictures is...

The girl in the box. She had something written on the front, but all I thought when I saw her was, "That's a terrible costume. I think I found the winner."

If you're wondering why I didn't take any pictures of Star Wars geeks besides Chewbacca, it's simple, I don't like them. Chewbacca's costume was quite impressive, since that guy has to be in sweating and it's rare to see a tall guy dressed up in some furry suit. The movie is cool, but it's not earth shattering and not that amazing. The fact that George Lucas is continuing to milk it in 2012 when he starts releasing the movies in 3D is ridiculous. It's only a movie, it's not life changing. The same goes with trekkies. Also, if you're going to dress up as a Star Trek character, why dress up in the red costume? The guys in red are the ones that always die. I did see Stan Lee, but you had to get tickets to meet him and they may have been sold out. There were a lot of people there.

It was fun and even if you don't like comics it'll be entertaining. I have to say it was a bit overwhelming. It's cool and I told my friend Sean about it who's going for the first time tomorrow and it was hard to tell him everything. It's another thing that was fun to do in New York.

Stay no less than stunningly fresh,
     Joe

P.S. Did you know that originally Superman did not fly? He was able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.
