Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Yes, I know it's a few hours early, but I won't be by a computer. So have a fun and safe new year celebration. May this new year be a lot better than 2010. The sky is not the limit, so don't let that hinder your goals.

Happy New Year!

The Disco Fries "60 Minutes Until Your Balls Drop" Mixtape

On January 1st, I posted a link for a New Year's song and it seems now I'm completing that circle with this end of the year mixtape. The Disco Fries have released their latest mixtape "60 Minutes Until Your Balls Drop". I know. I know. It is a funny title, but what's not funny is the music they put out. The music that this duo puts out is very entertaining. Matter of fact, as I'm typing this blog entry I am listening to this mixtape. If you listen to this at 11:00 pm tonight it will count you down to the ball drop at midnight. You can challenge that claim now if you want, but why would they lie about that. It's pretty cool. So if you're in charge of the music and don't feel like putting in work, play this.

I still remember meeting DJ Piklz at a Qn5 show a couple years ago and it's good to see the progress he's made with his music. He and Danny Danger are killing it and I look forward to the music that they'll putting out next year. Also, expect to see them wearing Branded Baron too.

Photo of the day is "Quote of the day"

I was at Barnes & Noble earlier and I came across this journal that had this phrase on the cover. Since we're moving onto 2011 in a day and people love making new year resolutions, keep this phrase in mind. It is a quote that is powerful and yet true.

What's next? New Beanies? Stickers?

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great holiday, whether you celebrated Festivus or Christmas. It was cool to be informed by those who received some Branded Baron as Christmas presents. For those that want some BB, hopefully you received some Christmas money where you can have a chance to pick a shirt up.
Either way as long as it was a great day spent with those you care about.

I received a nice book from my girlfriend which is Reworked by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson from the software company 37 Signals. I've read articles on Inc.com from Jason Fried and I liked what he had to say and I'm definitely enjoying reading this book. I enjoy the unorthodox approach that some successful businessmen have, compared to the by the book people. It's inspirational, because the bottom line is there's no correct way to be successful.

While I'm reading the book, I kept thinking about Branded Baron and how I want to proceed with it. What will we release next? I'm curious to know what your thoughts are? On our facebook page we have a topic on the discussion board that you can answer. Click here to comment on the discussion I've had some people suggest some items on twitter. Well a popular item, which makes sense since it winter is beanies. We had a small limited amount on beanies last year(shown above). Yes, it was the logo embroidered on the beanie, but maybe we'll release a new design for it. What are your thoughts? Maybe you want new stickers. I know I'd like to see some new designs on stickers or some of our designs on stickers. Let us know what you want, especially for the coming spring and summer. I'll try to make sure we accommodate as best as possible to keep it stunningly fresh. Who knows maybe you love the direction we've been headed and don't want anything different. I'd love your input.

Need A Match? Branded Baron Had That Fire! Part 5

My homie Chi sent me this picture of his tee with the Jordan Cool Greys. If you're a sneakerhead and you picked up your Jordans match it with the "Don't Be A Hypebeast" tee. Some shirts are at Fresh Kickz in Passaic Park, which is a sneaker store with a big influenced by Jordan. Either way this is a great match.

What will be the sneaker we match for the next "Don't Be A Hypebeast" limited edition t-shirt? These will be a series you'll want to have.

It's Crak! has Branded Baron as "Brand of the week"

Shout out to Crusafix who interviewed me for his blog "It's Crak!" I enjoy doing interviews and I'm happy to all those who like to interview. Crusafix is always on his grind and has this blog that I think you should check out when you get a chance. He has "video of the day", posts on events,  hip hop, art, "spotlight of the week", and more. He discusses how we crossed paths and asks some questions which haven't been asked before. What does inspire me and is designing for women more fun than men? Check out our feature as "BRAND OF THE WEEK" here : http://itscrak.blogspot.com/2010/12/brand-of-week-branded-baron.html

Tee Spotter reviews Branded Baron

Jen from Tee Spotter writes a pretty damn good review on Branded Baron. Tee Spotter is slowly creeping up to be a good blog on t-shirts. Check out the review, I must say it has to be one of the best ones we received. Read here: http://teespot.wordpress.com/2010/12/14/branded-baron-review/ Again, thank you Jen for the write up.

Another Christmas movie not seen so often around this time-Die Hard

Yes, this is another unorthodox Christmas movie. I have to thank my friend Alex for this pick and it is a good choice. While you're wrapping those gifts throw the Die Hard dvd on and watch Bruce Willis playing his arguably best role as detective John McClane. If you want the recap of the whole series you can watch this silly song, also sent to me by Alex. Nothing beats the original and I recommend watching a classic action film, I mean Christmas movie. Yippee Ki Yay mother****er!

Warning:NSFW due to the chorus

Photo of the Day: West Coast Rapper Okwerdz

Rapper known for his emcee battles that you can see on Youtube, Okwerdz had a photo shoot for his promo and he wore this Branded Baron t-shirt. It is the light green "To Live Is To Fight" t-shirt. He's rocking out with those Dexter looking gloves. There are only 2 left in this colorway and there are a few left in gray. Click here to buy

He's an rapper that actually KNOWS how to Freestyle, which is refreshing from everyone using their phones, notebooks, memorizing, or whatever to help them "freestyle".Little known fact his "Shut the f*ck Up" t-shirt was designed by me. Q&A w/ Timeless Styles

I had a Q&A with Justin of Timeless Styles and you can view it here. Timeless Styles has been posting many interviews with various clothing lines and it's always cool to answer some questions. There was a chuckle when I read "Timeless Q&A with no average Joe!" I think the interview went well and quite informative. Each interview I do always has something different for me to answer and I think it helps all you supporters get to know what is going on with Branded Baron. I hope you like and if you read some of the other interviews there are some good ones. I always find that reading interviews from other companies are inspirational and puts foot to ass on working hard to be successful.

Clinton Sparks ft. Mike Posner and Big Sean - Ambiguous (Disco Fries Remix) Dirty by DiscoFriesMusic

Now you've heard their production in the beginning of the Branded Baron Photo Shoot Behind the Scenes, but I had to bring you the music from DJ Piklz & Danny Danger once again. I've been following DJ Piklz since he was running 98 Proof, which was predominantly a hip hop label, but I knew he had these electronic dance beats. Since these two formed, the music they've made is hot and on point.

Taken from their site discofriesmusic.com
"Since landing their first commissioned remix in 2009 with Flo Rida’s “Sugar”, the two have been asked to add their signature sound to remixes of Usher, Estelle, Selena Gomez, Nelly Furtado, Ida Corr, and many others. Meanwhile, the duo continues to collaborate with 2 time Grammy Award winner Fatman Scoop, and in the months to come have releases planned with DJ Class (of “I’m the Ish” fame), Honorebel, and Jeremy Carr (of Deep at Night)." You can read the rest of their bio on their site, but they produce quality music.

Check out them out. Yes, I know what you're saying they should be at the clubs rocking Branded Baron tees, because Djs and producers are attracted to the different stunningly fresh tees that we have. Who knows what will happen?

Listen to their podcast on iTunes or remixes on their SoundCloud page like the "Ambiguous" song.

P.S.  The song they did with DJ Class is one of my favorites, especially on a night when you're going to go party. DJ Class- Party Crackin' Part 2 (I prefer the track without Nablidon. He's cool, but my personal preference is without it)

Photo of the Day: BBoy Dmize's Freeze

Yesterday I was driving all around the NJ/NY area selling tees and I caught up with Dmize. He's a bboy I met back at the Raw Flava Bboy competition(recap 1 here). He happens to be a good friend of Jay Wise and he told him that he loved the new shirts. I caught up, he picked up both the "Born An Original, Don't Die A Copy" t-shirts and the belt. He's going to be wearing it for a breakdancing competition in Spain that he will be flying out to later this week. Good luck to him and hopefully he brings back the "W".  Dmize being the cool dude that he is, did a freeze with the Branded Baron shirt for the camera.

Here's a video of him from that Raw Flava competition

Behind the Scenes Video of Winter Collection Photo Shoot

Tomorrow is when the new winter collection comes out from Branded Baron. The apparel is no less than stunningly fresh of course. Check out the behind the scenes of the photo shoot, just to give you a little taste on what will be released. The video is fun with a preview of the line with the main music by the Disco Fries, but also shout out to the Beat Geeks. Following the intro is some playful commentary and you know it's not a Branded Baron shoot without some fist pumping.

I need to thank Shane Marques for the awesome photography. Branded Baron is adding more sexy to the stunningly fresh lifestyle. The apparel looks better in person, I love wearing it. Yes, you see a glimpse from Branded Baron's designer Danette of the "Jersey Devil" design. Just watch and enjoy.

Skateboarding + Branded Baron

Early evening yesterday I went to the skate park in West New York with the crew from Urban Legends Shop. Blis, one of the workers and former pro-boarder, and I have been talking about doing a small photo shoot for awhile and finally we were able to do one. It's good that the skate park is conveniently up the block from the store. I gave out a bunch of stickers to everyone that was there. BOOM, they were slapped on the skateboards. I had my board, but I was really there to get shots of Blis doing tricks wearing Branded Baron. I had him wear some of the new stuff and he threw on the Stunningly Fresh longsleeve, since he always loved that design. Shane Marques took my camera and took the pictures, although I know he would rather have his camera, but he used my camera better than I would have.  I'll add upload video in the next day or two. Check out the photos.
