Go Uptown by Jay Wise and Ace Gutta

Here is a fresh New York head banger song from Jay Wise and Ace Gutta. They're from Washington Heights, so they're proud from being there, but it's a pretty cool song. The piano keys in the beat makes it fun and I love the bass drum used in it. It's a short song, but I think you can give it a listen. To listen and/or download it, click here.

Biting Elbows - Bad Motherf*cker MUSIC VIDEO

Biting Elbows - 'Bad Motherfucker' (Insane Office Escape 2) from Ilya Naishuller on Vimeo.

Hello Everyone! This is a pretty badass music video right here from Biting Elbows. It's a first shooter video game style video that surrounds the protagonist to beat up his captives as he tries to retrieve something important. The music starts off soft, but then it immediately changes to add to the soundtrack of this adventurous ride. It's certainly humorous, but this video is also one bad motherfucker. One thing missing is Samuel L. Jackson's wallet from Pulp Fiction. Enjoy.

Trick P vs Deffinition COMPLIMENT BATTLE

The video above isn't your ordinary emcee rap battle, because instead of insults they are complimenting each other. It's an unique concept and one that is refreshing. I personally found this to be pretty funny and I think Tricky P(the second guy) won with his highly entertaining verse. Take a couple minutes and watch this or listen to this in the background while you do whatever you're doing.

Tonedeff -Glutton EP

For those that do not know, I've been a fan of Tonedeff and the whole Qn5 Music squad for over ten years. I'm a fan and I know some of my friends have been annoyed by me trying to put them on to them. Some of them enjoyed them and their live performances, while others just heard them whenever I played it. If you're a fan of quality good music then I will forward you to it. Tonedeff started off as a hip hop artist and grown into a full musician. The reason I say that is he makes music of different genres, adopting all of them for his own pleasure.

Yes, he raps, but it's not that he just creates hip hop, especially with his latest project. His newest EP, "GLUTTON", is the newest Tonedeff project in 8 years. His sound is completely different compared to his debut album Archetype. This EP has more dance/electronic tracks with a more adult theme. I tweeted that his song "Filthy" is the XXX version of "Pervert". As much as a fan favorite Pervert is, this should definitely knock the boots off people who listen to this with it's sexually charged lyrics and it's porn vibrating bass beat. "Centerfold" is probably my favorite song, which has inspired me to work more on my more pin up illustrations.

The music has substance and you should listen to it over and over. You can listen to it for free on his bandcamp or you can make a donation this an artist who has put his time to make quality music. This project is 1/4 of his full album entitled "Polymer".  It combines all the EPs that will be released as 1 full album with other goodies. You can purchase that here

If you ever wonder one of the influences to provide you with quality and awesome products, Qn5 music is one of them.

Oh, in case you haven't see Tonedeff with his own Branded Baron tee, here you go.

Pharaoh Skull

Hello All,
If you are following on instagram, you would see various designs that are in progress or completed. One of the designs I've been working on was this pharaoh skull. This is just a fun illustration that I always wanted to do. You can see the progress below, the overall goal was to make it look super badass. I am also working on a vector version to give it a different look, but we'll see how I feel about finishing that one. I do like the outcome I finished in photoshop, especially with the hieroglyphics mixed in.  Let's see what I do with this.

Statue of liberty die cut stickers are back!

The Statue of Liberty die cut stickers are available and the best part is that some of them will be thrown into the sticker packs you order. Either way these are great vinyl stickers that are very durable. Die cut stickers are always stunningly fresh and this popular design is one I am happy to bring back again.

Listen to your heart stickers now available

Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone! I wanted to let you know that the classic "Listen to your heart" design is now in sticker form. It's a cool little 3 inch wide sticker that is great to stick on cool services. I actually stuck one on my sketchbook, before I started this post.

It's a great piece of art, but I'm selling this raise money for the American Heart Association. My girlfriend always participates in the Heartwalk for a very good reason, since heart disease and stroke is in the family. I don't want to air out her business, but it's not any different from my family. What really knocks you down is seeing someone who's in fantastic shape get all bent out, because of some heart related disease. It really makes you step back and just look at life and see what really is important. It's also inspiring to see people who won't quit, because of some damn stroke or heart condition. The stickers may be a small contribution, but it's something I feel strongly about. I want to do my small part to help reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. There's another cause that I'm going be behind as well, but right now it's perfect to share this with you on a day where hearts are an icon.  I'm hoping these will fly out, so I can continuously make more to donate the proceeds to. Regardless this is still stunningly fresh sticker.

Something to ponder-George Carlin

Hello Everyone,
This blogpost is something that I came across and was written by my favorite comic, George Carlin. I was lucky to see him perform live and his observations were definitely something were listening to. Funny, but it made you think.

The written content that I was written from George Carlin was definitely different than his routine. George Carlin's wife died early in 2008 and George followed her, dying in July 2008. It is ironic George Carlin could write something so very eloquent and so very appropriate. This observation by George Carlin is worth reading, because we need to step back and really see what is valuable in our lives. The phrase goes, "the older you get, the wise you get", so I think it's worth listening to what a 71 year old George Carlin had to say, since I don't doubt he experienced a lot while he was on this planet. Below is what he wrote:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

George Carlin

New Charmingly Ghetto music "Kickz-N-Starez EP"

Hey everyone! Yes, I know I've been missing in action and I might elaborate on that in a later post, but this post is to let you know about some new music from Charmingly Ghetto. Listen to this and enjoy.

"With much momentum gained in 2012, Charmingly Ghetto is back in rotation with a seven-track EP presented by The Mad Bloggers and Heyday Footwear. Yet again, C.G. extends his collaborative efforts and creates an international product with Kickz-N-Starez.

Production credits on this tape range from East to West domestically, and reach over the pond to France and Germany. C.G. continues to flow flawlessly over instrumentals, with guest features from ScienZe, Maya Azucena and Lyric Jones."

To me this music has a late night listening vibe to it, whether you're chillin in your room relaxing or cruising in your car. "Simple Days" is a cool track featuring Brooklyn's hip hop artist Scienze.
