Braggin Rites is having this event on January 9th at 2 in the afternoon at Public Assembly, located in Brooklyn. Braggin Rites was a very popular event a couple years ago, before they stopped due to losing their venue. It's good to see that they're back, because I was pretty young when they were happening, so I really couldn't make it. I know that they're a good hip hop event and you should wear a hot hip hop shirt or hoodie like the ones Branded Baron offers.

This emcee is already preparing to release his new mixtape "Gone Fishin". He released his album "Pretty/Ugly" back in November. It's insane how he is already ready to release something new. We both agreed that long gone are the days where you can have an album out and not have to make something new until a year or a couple months later. I guess that's what happens in the iPod generation and it's all good, because there's more good music coming out.
Daniel Joseph was able to hook Branded Baron with an exclusive track off his mixtape entitled "Lebron 2010". It's a nice track to give you wanting more and you'll know why when you hear it. Branded Baron V.P., Anthony have something common with Daniel Joseph, because they're both Knicks fans. Lebron in NY, I'm saying it's a pipe dream, but the track is hot. Oh yea, there's a hidden discount code too. Listen to the track and try to hold horses until his mixtape "Gone Fishin" to release soon. Expect to see a picture of him wearing some BB gear too.
This is the latest music release from The Gem-N-I and of course it's free to download. The only downside is that Brigantti is the main producer of the duo and they're using beats already used by someone else. They want to showcase they can make hot songs with anybody's instrumentals, so hence the title of this mixtape. They do a pretty good job and it's not a large mixtape either. Go download it and listen.

Saturday, Dec. 19th was the day of another New York Dunk XChange. It was held in Crash Mansion down on Bowery Street in the lower east side on a cold day. It was expected to snow, so I wasn't sure how many people were going to come out. I had a table with my boys Jamal and C.J. who were selling their kicks, so it was good to give some people a choice of some apparel to rock with their new dunks, jordans, or what have you. Thanks to those two for showing love and supporting Branded Baron. I was running late, so I had Jamal bring in my bucket of Branded Baron gear inside, while I went to go get parking. I knew it was going to snow and I figured it'd be best to go to a lot, then be stuck in the snow later on. As I'm setting up and Jamal wanted to pay for a beanie I realized I forgot the key to my cashbox in the car with the lot. FAIL. I know it was, but luckily my girl was there to the rescue and went to go get the key, so I can just set up and be ready to sell. If Anthony was able to make it, I would've gone and had him set up, but he had car problems that needed to be taken care of, which prevented him from coming through. I brought the Branded Baron banner, but Crash Mansion had their own name decoration on the wall which prevented me putting it up, so I improvised and put the sweatshirts up and even the "Stunningly Fresh" tee later on. There were two floors and we were in the lower level or first floor by the stage. DJ Jack Da Ripper was playing some good hip hop and I felt it just added to the environment. Only downside is the table we were at was right next to the speaker, so my ears are shot, especially my left ear since that was closer to the speaker.
It was a chilly chill event, I definitely networked, met new people, sold some items, and had fun which is key. Fun is very important...same as sales, but it's hard to gain a bunch when you look like you're miserable. It was cool to see Chase, a Black Flag Shoppe intern selling his shirts with his crew at the event. Check out his line Forever Dope . I believe he's still in high school, so that's good he's starting out in high school, I know I wish I did. I know my interest started back then, but anyways. I also met the lovely Dessarae from Fly Kickz who's a definitely talented custom designer. She definitely knows how to customize some sneakers with he artistic ability. She had a couple samples of the hand painted sneakers she worked on and she was selling some of her sexy posters. Maybe you'll see a pair of custom limited edition Branded Baron dunks in the future. Maybe I'll have to get more than one, because I know I'll end up rocking it. I chatted up with the people of DIrty Jax Clothing for bit, they are cool with Jay Wise and designed his shirts. I chatted up with Mello of Kick Game Dvd who filmed my rocking my dunks that matched my "Listen To Your Heart" shirt. That dvd should be out in 2010, so be on the look out for that. Plus, I was glad to meet people who came up to the table and purchased some Branded Baron apparel. It definitely feels great when people buy your stuff and it feels like the hard work is being rewarded. The Astrohop hoodie is definitely a fan favorite, but there were other shirts sold too. I have some photos of a couple people who bought some stuff. I was happy I didn't pack up early otherwise I would've lost a sale. It was near the end and everyone was winding down, most of the tables on the floor I was at were gone, but the guy came through and bought. I honestly thought he wasn't interested at first, just another person scoping out what everyone has, but I'm glad that he came back and bought. I definitely hope everyone loves the Branded Baron apparel they now own. They're definitely "Stunningly Fresh."
I like the New York Dunk XChange and would love to come through and do it again. The back to back experiences I had were cool.(To read about the first experience Click Here I'm glad the snowstorm didn't hit hard when I left, because originally the Jay Wise Cd release party was still happening, but it's now being rescheduled. No matter what it is, there has to be fun when working with Branded Baron. All the photoshoots have been so much and everyone seems to be in a good mood, which makes everything run much smoother. Everyone is usually crack jokes and this time the "fist pump" makes it's debut with Branded Baron. Daft Punk is played in the background for the whole winter line shoot and it has everyone there dancing. I'd like to thank model Danette and rapper Jay WIse for their participation for the photoshoot. Yes, it's like this blog is Jay Wise blog, but it's not. Branded Baron shows a tremendous amount of support and we'll do the same to Zodiac and The Gem-N-I when they're projects are released. Here is the music video to the single of Jay Wise's debut album "Fresh". Right now you can listen to the remix with his group the Corp Cartel on the "Pre-Fresh" mixtape. Branded Baron was still planning on its release, so Jay Wise wasn't rocking any of the apparel. I was asked to send in a couple of designs for the music video, so I came up with a couple diamonds, speakers, and a couple other items which were used. I was also featured as one of the three experts/scientists(I'm the freshest one haha). Enjoy this video, it's a hot song and fun one that I feel was captured on camera.

Happy Thanksgiving EVERYONE! I hope you're all thankful for something, even if you're not from the States I hope you're thankful. I'm extremely thankful for all the supporters, for all those who purchases Branded Baron items, and those who will do so in the future. I've seen him perform at an event where I was showing support for Black Flag Shoppe and picked up a cd from him. I've seen this video before and it was entertaining. I figured I'd share this. It would be cool if anyone who purchases a shirt or wins a free shirt gets shot at and the new shirt is automatically on them. It's the phrase we coined where everything is top notch, high quality, hotter than hot, cooler than cool, more amazing than spiderman(the amazing spiderman just in case you didn't know), classier than ballroom dancing, very crisp, you get the idea. I know I should've shown the longsleeve better, but you'll see in no time. I'll post a visual for you soon. When will the tees be available? Good question. Very soon. As you know, Jay Wise is a hip hop that Branded Baron sponsors and promotes, so it's no surprise that we should give you guys a glimpse of what the cover of his new mixtape looks like. The "Pre-Fresh" mixtape is preparing the listeners what Jay's album "Fresh" will have. I've heard the first track of the cd and it's a good song. I won't be able to give away that song, but the mixtape will be available as a free download. I will definitely let you know when that is available, but in the meantime you can check out the previous songs by him and if you purchased a shirt then you can listen to that exclusive cd. The event at the Canteen located in Pier 17 of the South Street Seaport has been cancelled. Originally we were told we can throw the event there, but the owners of the building do not want this event to go down, because they do not want it to be a rock club or rave. I do not know what they fear or think is going to happen, but like I mentioned before Branded Baron was not going to have an event that would be wild and crazy with people causing ruckus. It's a shame when contracts were signed and the week of the event it was cancelled when it has been heavily promoted. Roadblocks like this will occur, we're going to move on and find a better venue that can provide what we were looking to do. We'll continue providing you with quality shirts and other apparel(soon to be announced). We still to plan have great events, some being music showcases of singers, hip hop artists, and rock bands of the finest caliber. I do know that there is an art show in the next couple months that Branded Baron will cosponsor.
So keep your eyes open, the event may happen next Thursday if everything works out or we may just reschedule where we have a celebration for releasing our winter items. Maybe we'll do both? Hmmm you never know. This unfortunate incident may turn out better for us. I know a bunch of people are disappointed and some are mad at the owners of the south street seaport, but it's okay we're going to bring you something great. I'm already smiling, because I have a couple tricks up my sleeve to make any event we have especially our first a fun and memorable one.

Last Sunday, Branded Baron had a photoshoot for our products, some of our advertising, and to post around the site. I want to thank Leyana and Nick of Zodiac for helping us out. The two pictures are literally just a tiny glimpse of the fun time we had getting our Zoolander on.(Yes, I did some, Anthony no.)
